Albyn Park, 9 October, Kick-off: 2pm
Second meets third as Hibernian host Celtic at Albyn Park.
Hibernian’s fixture list is tricky with this SWPL 1 game in between their Champions League Round of 32 legs – the next day, they fly out to Munich to play Bayern Munich. And they will have to use the squad’s depth to get through their schedule.
And if they still harbour any ambitions of winning the title, they will need to win today.
Celtic cannot catch Hibs in the league, and they have secured third place. And if they are wanting to build into next season, picking up a win against Hibernian would be a big sign.
This will be the fifth time these two sides have met this season. The first three encounters (one in the SWPL Cup and two in the league) all ended in one-goal wins for Hibs. The fourth game between them took place in the Scottish Cup Quarter-Finals where Celtic looked like they could win, being 1-0 up at half-time. However, Hibs fought back with a fantastic second half to win 3-1.
Neither of these sides can move from their current position.
