The SuperSeal Stadium, Kick-Off: 4pm
Second hosts first in a top of the table clash at The SuperSeal Stadium.
Hamilton sits three points behind Glasgow Girls, but due to their superior goal difference, a win will see them jump up into first – unless Hearts win by a scoreline that is seven goals better.
The beauty of the SWPL 2 title race is that all three sides are so close together, and they all play each other in the closing stages. It is nearly impossible to predict.
Since their blip in form around the break, Hamilton has returned to form – winning their past five matches, scoring 23 goals and conceding just four. It is the sort of form they would have wanted going into their next two games, where after playing Glasgow Girls – they face their other title rivals Hearts.
Hamilton’s squad has been strengthened with the double signing of Danielle Connelly and Joanne Paton from Celtic.
Glasgow Girls too are in great form. Since their 2-0 defeat to Hearts in August, they have won their past four matches, scoring 16 and conceding just one. There is very little to separate these sides, and the ingredients are there for a fascinating encounter.
So far, between the sides, it is one win apiece. And depending on the result in this game and at Hearts – either side can end today first, second or third.
