Celtic 3-1 Rangers – Match Summary – SWPL 1

Celtic fought back from behind to win the third Old Firm derby of the season as they look to tighten their grip on third place.

Both sides had decent chances in the first half with Rangers coming close from Chantelle Brown’s free-kick and Celtic through Abbi Grant.

But just before half-time, Rangers took the lead. Katey Turner won the ball outside the Celtic box and then calmly picked out the bottom corner.

Turner could have doubled their advantage early in the second half but she shot just over.

However, on the hour point, Celtic equalised from a free-kick that captain Kelly Clark headed in before Suzanne Mulvey fired the home side in front.

And then, Celtic found themselves 3-1 up, just ten minutes after equalising. Grant’s cross picked out Mulvey who found the back of the net.

Celtic remain in third and Rangers stay in sixth place.
