25 September 2016, Millburn Academy, Kick-off: 12:30pm
Relegation battlers Inverness City host Hutchison Vale with the Edinburgh side making the long journey up north for an early kick-off.
Inverness go into this match knowing a win is required with an eight-point gap to safety with just five games left in the season. A defeat, coupled with a Buchan win would all but see them relegated. Even if both Inverness and Buchan lose, the situation would look just as dangerous.
Luckily for them, they are playing at home and that is where all seven of their points have been won.
Hutchison Vale makes the long journey up north of the back of three disappointing results. In the league, they’ve lost to Glasgow Girls and Buchan – whilst in the Scottish Cup, they suffered a last-gasp extra-time defeat to Hearts.
However, they are in prime position for fourth place and they will be doing everything possible to secure that place comes the end of the season.
The game played between these two teams in Inverness ended in a 1-1 draw, whilst Hutchie won the game played in Edinburgh 6-0.
Inverness need to win to be guaranteed of remaining in seventh whilst Hutchie need to win to stay in their current position of fourth.
