Spartans v Celtic – Match Preview – SWPL 1

Ainslie Park, Kick-off: 1pm

Third host fourth as Spartans take on Celtic at Ainslie Park.

The decision over the awarding Stirling a win for their game against Celtic in June, means Spartans now sit in third place.

But nothing should be taken away from Spartans. They are now unbeaten in four matches, winning three of those games including against Glasgow City.

Celtic had been in good form too, although they have now lost three out of their last four matches, but with the signings of Heather Richards and Ruesha Littlejohn, they will be looking to turn that form around.

Spartans could move four points ahead of Celtic, and will close the gap on the top two whereas if Celtic win, they will overtake the Edinburgh side into third.
