SWPL 1 Stirling University overcame the test of SWFL Second Division East leaders Dundee United to reach the 2016 Scottish Women’s Cup Quarter-Finals.

Stirling took the lead in the 12th minute when Ashley McDonald crossed to Nicole Pullar who tapped the ball into the net. They doubled their lead from a Jade Gallon stunning free-kick.

However, the home side pulled a goal back from Tammy Harkin’s screamer.

But just before half-time, Stirling won a penalty which Gallon smartly converted.

In the second half, Stirling scored their fourth when Pullar turned her marker before finding the bottom corner before Katy Morris’ deflected shot made it 5-1.

Late on, they made it 6-1 through McDonald’s penalty to secure their place in the Quarters.
