Hibernian v Renfrew – Scottish Women’s Cup Third Round Preview

Ainslie Park, Kick-off: 1pm

The SWPL Cup holders Hibernian take on the SWFL Second Division South-West leaders Renfrew.

Hibernian’s last gasp win against Celtic last Sunday, thanks to captain Joelle Murray’s strike, kept their title challenge on track. And having won the SWPL Cup, they will look to continue their hunt for a domestic treble against Renfrew.

Their opponents are having a high-scoring season as they look to win their league, and so far, they have a 100% record, winning all eight of their games. And they currently have a goal difference of +54.

It should be pointed out though that Hibernian are high-scoring too, so it will be an interesting test for both sides.

Hibernian beat Boroughmuir Thistle 11-0 in the Second Round, whilst Renfrew beat Cumbernauld Colts 4-3 and Queen’s Park 5-0 to reach this stage.
