Aberdeen picked up a 3-0 win over Forfar Farmington to move closer to fifth place in the SWPL 1.
The away side opened the scoring in just the second minute through Cheryl Anderson, and then just three minutes later, it was 2-0. Aberdeen launched a long ball forward and Hannah Stewart managed to flick the ball into the net, ahead of the Forfar keeper Fiona McNicoll.
Their third and final goal came in the 72nd minute. Cheryl Anderson’s shot was saved by McNicoll, but the defender Alana Bruce’s clearance hit the keeper and bounced into the back of the net.
This game marked the final match for Forfar’s striker Tori Sousa who departs for America. She played a critical role in keeping the club in the SWPL 1 last season, as they won 10 out of their last 11 matches.
