Kessock Park, 19 June 2016, Kick-Off: 2pm
Sixth-placed Buchan hosts SWPL 2’s joint-leaders Glasgow Girls.
In their past SWPL 2 game, Buchan picked up their first point in three games with a 3-3 draw against Hutchison Vale. At the moment, you can split the SWPL 2 into three sections, and Buchan is the bottom side in the middle group. They sit two points behind 4th placed Jeanfield Swifts, ten points off the leaders and eight points ahead of the relegation places.
They can take real confidence from the Scottish Cup Second Round defeat against Forfar Farmington, having taken Forfar Farmington into extra-time.
Glasgow Girls sit behind leaders Hamilton, only on an inferior goal difference to them. Having been awarded a 3-0 win over Queen’s Park, after Queen’s Park failed to put out a team, it means they have now won their past five games – the best current winning run in the league.
In the Scottish Cup Second Round game against Motherwell, they avoided a shock against a dangerous side, winning 4-1.
Earlier in the season, Glasgow Girls beat Buchan 3-1.
Buchan could move up to fourth with a win, whilst Glasgow Girls could end up the day in first place with a win.
