Stirling University 10-0 Westerlands – Scottish Women’s Cup Second Round – Match Summary

SWPL 1’s bottom-placed side Stirling University progressed into the Scottish Women’s Cup Third Round, beating Westerlands 10-0 who play in the SWFL Division One South.

Rebecca Blair’s great ball found Jade Gallon who scored to make it 1-0 to Stirling. A Westerlands’ own goal doubled their lead before Lisa Sutherland’s strike made it 3-0.

Nicole Pullar reacted quickest to a parry from the Westerlands’ keeper to score their fourth, before Rachel Donaldson’s long-range strike made it 5-0.

Their sixth came when Pullar’s cross was tapped-in from close range by Gallon before Ashley McDonald made it 7-0.

Donaldson scored her second and Stirling’s eighth, converting Blair’s cross with a wonder volley.

Jenny Godfrey got onto the scoresheet, tapping in McDonald’s cross.

Stirling then got into double figures late on when Donaldson completed her hat-trick.
