Hearts v St Roch’s – Scottish Women’s Cup Second Round – Match Preview

King’s Park, 12 June 2016, Kick-off: 2pm

SWPL 2 title challengers Hearts host SWFL Division Two Central side St Roch’s.

Hearts has had a good start to their SWPL 2 season, although a defeat to Glasgow Girls and a draw with Hutchison Vale mean they no longer top the table. However, they will be going into the fixture full of confidence, having scored 14 goals in their past two games before the international break. Having been knocked out in the First Round of the SWPL Cup by Forfar Farmington, they will be looking for a bit of a cup run

St Roch’s are currently in a mid-table place, 4th place, in the Divison Two Central and is just two points behind second. However, they are an incredible nine points behind the run-away leaders, Partick Thistle. They were also ninety minutes away from a Cup Final as they reached the Semi-Finals of the Division Two Cup, however, they lost 4-1 to Dundee United.

This is Hearts’ first Scottish Cup game of the season, whereas St Roch’s beat Kemnay 2-0 in the First Round.
