One of three all SWPL ties, as SWPL 2 side Buchan host SWPL 1’s Forfar Farmington.
Buchan currently sits sixth in the SWPL 2 with no imminent threat of being dragged into the relegation places, but nor do they look to be climbing up towards the title spot. One point from their past three games sees them closer to the relegation places than third place. But their home form has been impressive and are yet to lose there in all competitions. In the SWPL Cup, they reached the Quarter-Final stage where they lost away to Rangers.
Forfar Farmington has turned the corner, after struggling with their early SWPL 1 results. Back-to-back wins over Stirling and Aberdeen saw them move off the bottom of the table, but two defeats in a row have seen them drop down to seventh, only ahead of bottom-placed Stirling on goal difference. In the SWPL Cup, they reached the Quarter-Finals where they suffered a heavy defeat to Hibernian.
This is both Buchan’s and Forfar’s first games in this season’s Scottish Cup.
