McDiarmid Park, 29 May, Kick-off: 4pm
Last Sunday’s star performers meet in a highly intriguing game. Both of the two clubs won their respective games, and combined, scored 24 goals without conceding once.
Jeanfield Swifts began the season, wanting to make their new home into a fortress, and that started well – beating Queen’s Park 5-1 in their debut game. And despite losing to Hearts in their second home game, it does look that they are on route to succeeding. Jeanfield possesses a dangerous attack, possessing players like Danni McGinley and Jade McDonald to name a few, as shown as they beat Queen’s Park 13-0.
And there will be an element of looking for revenge, having lost to Hamilton 4-0 earlier on in the season.
The leaders Hamilton Academical know that they have to win to have a realistic chance of remaining in first place.
After their blip, where they lost consecutive games to Hearts and Hutchison Vale, they have returned to form over the past two Sundays, beating Buchan 5-2 and Inverness City 11-0.
Like their opponents, they also possess a dangerous attack with MT McGuinesss, Gillian Inglis and Lori Gardner contributing to the front three.
This will be a fascinating game as the league’s top-two highest goal-scorers meet. Whilst Hamilton requires a win to remain top, Jeanfield can only close the gap on third-placed Hearts who are currently four points ahead.
