Jeanfield Swifts returned back from Glasgow, incredibly beating Queen’s Park 13-0.
They opened the scoring in the first minute when Nicola Martin headed in a Kirsty Scobbie corner. Minutes later, Jeanfield doubled their lead when Jade McDonald pounced upon a parried save and found the net.
Danni McGinley scored their third goal from the edge of the penalty area. And soon it was 4-0 when McGinley’s corner found McDonald at the far post and her shot found the ball into the net.
Before half-time, they scored their fifth. Scobbie’s corner found Erin Thatcher who beat the keeper with her header.
Early on in the second half, Jeanfield scored twice. Eildih McIntyre reacted to a rebound in the box, and then McGinley rounded the Spiders’ keeper to make it 7-0.
McGinley completed her hat-trick when she scored directly from a corner and soon after, she scored her fourth and Jeanfield’s ninth through a powerful shot.
Their tenth came when Emma MacLean’s 25-yard strike found the top corner, and they kept up the pressure with McIntyre making it 11-0 with her curling effort.
McDonald completed her hat-trick as her 25-yard shot went in-off-the-post and then she assisted their final goal, playing in Alex Fox who found the far corner.
