New Douglas Park, Sunday 22 May, Kick-off: 4pm
SWPL 2 leaders Hamilton Academical host bottom-placed Inverness City in the day’s late kick-off.
After their win over Buchan last Sunday, they returned to the top of the SWPL 2 having dropped from that position after losing to Hearts.
They sit in first place only on goal difference, rather than on points and this will put them under more pressure to pick up a win. They’ve scored in every game at home, and with 28 goals in their seven matches, they are clearly the top scorers in the league.
And their opponents Inverness City has the league’s second worst defensive record, and the worst defensive record away from home.
After their 4-3 defeat to Queen’s Park, they are still looking for their first win of the season. But in the opening game of the season, they came close to beating Hamilton – before losing 5-3.
A win for Hamilton will almost definitely see them remain in first, whilst if Inverness win, they could move up to seventh.
