Two second half goals from Holly Napier and Tori Sousa saw Forfar Farmington beat Stirling University 2-0 and record their first points in the SWPL 1.
The first half was goalless but both sides had chances to score. For Forfar, Tori Sousa headed over and Robyn Smith’s cross nearly went over the line. Stirling’s Rachel Donaldson had a couple of good attempts, one that just went wide and the second was saved by the Forfar’s keeper Fiona McNicoll.
But just three minutes into the second half, Forfar took the lead when Sousa found Holly Napier and she found the back of the net.
And in the 73rd minute, the home side doubled their lead when Sousa scored from close range from Smith’s cross.
They had a goal ruled out for offside, but they secured a huge 2-0 win as they picked up their first points of the season. However, they still remain in eighth with Stirling in seventh.
