Forfar Farmington v Stirling University – Match Preview – SWPL 1

Station Park, Kick-off: Sunday 15 May, 1pm

Forfar Farmington host Stirling University at Station Park as the bottom two SWPL 1 clubs meet.

Forfar has yet to pick up a point this season, but their performances have improved over the recent games as they ran Rangers, Glasgow City and Hibernian close.

But as many sporting clichés state, performances don’t win points and they will be wanting to change this situation soon. They only have to take inspiration from last season when they had a poor start, but improved in form to win ten games out of their final eleven matches.

They will also be bolstered by the signing of Kayleigh Brough who is back at the club for her second spell.

Seventh-placed Stirling University sits on three points, with one win out of their five matches when they beat Celtic 2-1. But since that highly impressive victory, they have lost their past two matches 3-1 to Spartans and Aberdeen.

They will want this run to end as they take on the team that they are expected to battle against relegation with.

Forfar Farmington requires a five-goal swing to overtake Stirling into seventh place whilst Stirling can move up to sixth with a win.
