Saughton Enclosure, Sunday 1st May 2016, Kick-off: 2pm
Hutchison Vale hosts a Hamilton side looking to get over the disappointment of their defeat to Hearts.
Hutchison Vale has yet to really get their season to get kick-started but picked up their second win of the season against Queen’s Park last Sunday. In fact, at home, they are yet to score a goal.
Their previous win had been on the opening day, and since then, they had picked up two draws and a defeat. Although losing one out of five is normally a good start, they would have wanted to have been closer to the top two. But their next two league games see them play both the top two, so they have an opportunity to do just that.
Hamilton will arrive in Edinburgh hoping to return to winning ways after losing top spot to Hearts, and will have to do it without their suspended captain Gillian Inglis. She was sent off for two quick bookings for dissent after Hearts’ controversial third goal which the assistant seemed to have ruled out for offside, only for the referee to give the goal.
But, they need to get that frustration out of their system and return to winning ways to put the new leaders Hearts under pressure.
A Hutchison Vale win could see them move to third, whilst Hamilton can replace Hearts in first with a draw.
